Great Britain's imperialism in South Africa greatly impacted the natives there. Colonization means taking over the territory, people, and government. It changed their way of life. The British had far more advanced technology and brought on this technology to the Africans. This modernized Africa a lot. Also, many say that the British were trying to spread their Christianity into South Africa and many other countries in Africa. Many Africans resented this because religion was a big part of their lives.
However, it was not all bad. The Boers felt that the African natives were of lower power and status. They though that the African natives should be slaves. The British disagreed with that and outlawed slave trading. This caused more resentment from the Boers but more African supporters.
The impact on the Boers was that their lives were being changed too. They wanted ordinary farming lives but the British suggested different. They brought on a newer and more modern way of life to the Boers. However, British rule increased the opportunity to export sheep and wool.
